Performative installation

Installation project - 2025
The breast and everything we don't dare say

In a creative spring, Esther Garneau mounted a moving artistic-perfomative-installation in the summer of 2025.

It was about a dialogue between different aspects tied to the place of women in society.

Starting with a filmed performance in her creative marathon in 2025, displaying a white dress and tomatoes in all its forms. Continuing with a redesigned cradle, paint on underwear and a spill of candy on herself, the artist identify herself to the different roles of the contemporary woman.

Video archives of the piece are ready for diffusion.

"It's the themes adressed by Marina Abramovic that made me interested by artistic performances. My experience of 1001 emotions pushed me to create art pieces often chaotic and composed of a multitude of colors and textures. My spirit, now calmer, guides me towards collections where I explore one em otion at a time to disect them and free myself from them. While observing mother nature and the alternation of seasons, I understood that just like her, I had to adapt to change and gain resilience. Feeling happiness allows me to create dreamlike art! 2025 brought me a vindictive push that made me reflect further than decorative art. My art has always been vulnerable and made from my feeling, it's with a new breath that I now propose performative-installation to my portfolio."
