France Bouchard

France Bouchard was born in 1970 in Quebec City, in the town of Lac-Beauport. It’s in this quiet little country town that France has spent most of her life.

In art classes, she realized at a very early age that everything visual and artistic fascinated her. At CEGEP, she continued her studies in graphic design and communications. As soon as she had completed her 2 diplomas, she went back to school for 3 years of training in photography. She accumulates courses and training to satisfy her need to understand all facets of artistic creation. Her life revolves around her eyes, and for her, everything is shadow, color and light.

She set up her own photography company and worked there for 25 years. France Bouchard made her name in photography. It won no fewer than 55 national and provincial trophies. She won the title of Photographer of the Year more than 5 times in Quebec, Photo Retoucher of the Year 2 times at the provincial level and 1 time at the Canadian level. She was also named Canada’s Photographer of the Year in 2021. All these accolades have earned her numerous television and radio appearances, as well as articles in magazines and newspapers.

France has been working as an art gallery director for several years.

For the visual artist and photographer, her passion is not only knowing how to draw with light, but also knowing how to create a magical moment between it, the elements and her vision. She finds herself in a privileged moment of inspiration, during each of her creative projects. Her desire above all else is to illuminate people’s lives with her art.
